چکیده
The interactions between the geophysical processes and geodynamics of lithosphere play a crucial role in geologic structure Earth’s crust. Bangui magnetic anomaly is notable feature lithospheric Central African Republic (CAR) resulting from complex tectonic evolution. This study reports on coherence data field analysed series maps. used here include raster grids free-air altimetric gravity, EMAG2 maps, geoid EGM2008 model topographic SRTM/ETOPO1 relief. were processed to analyse correspondence setting CAR region. Histogram equalization was implemented by partition into equal-area patches ranged segments with relative highs lows original compared equalized, normalized quadratic models. scripts for cartographic processing are presented commented. consistency topography, gravity based using GMT modules ‘grdfft’ ‘grdhisteq’ modules. Introduction. The number of Salmonella isolated from clinical samples that are resistant to multiple antibiotics has increased worldwide. The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of resistant Salmonella enterica isolated in Bangui. Methods. All enteric Salmonella strains isolated from patients in 2008 were identified and serotyped, and the phenotypes of resistance were determined b...
متن کاملRotavirus Epidemiology in Bangui, Central African Republic, 20081
To the Editor: Infection with group A rotavirus is among the leading causes of gastroenteritis in children , especially in sub-Saharan Africa (1). Data with regard to the incidence of rotavirus-A disease in the Central African Republic are limited (2). To estimate the prevalence of rotavirus-A disease among young children before introduction of rotavirus-A vaccine in Bangui, the capital of the ...
متن کاملMultidrug-resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Bangui, Central African Republic
We investigated multidrug-resistant (MDR) Mycobacterium tuberculosis strains in Bangui, Central African Republic. We found 39.6% with the same spoligotype and synonymous single nucleotide polymorphism in the mutT1 gene. However, strains had different rpoB mutations responsible for rifampin resistance. MDR strains in Bangui may emerge preferentially from a single, MDR-prone family.
متن کاملSeroprevalence of measles and natural rubella antibodies among children in Bangui, Central African Republic
BACKGROUND Passively acquired maternal antibodies are necessary to protect infants against circulating measles virus until they reach the eligible age of vaccination. Likewise, high levels of population immunity must be achieved and maintained to reduce measles virus transmission. This study was undertaken to (1) assess the presence of maternally acquired measles-specific IgG antibodies among i...
